Epicado is growing fast. We need a talented developer to take on responsibility for projects and inject real energy into our production team.
The Role
We need a middle-weight web developer with minimum 2 years experience to support our technical head and our sales team. Your responsibilities will include helping the sales team with accurate estimating and practical ideas that they can sell to the clients’ benefit. You will support our in-house and remote technical teams with e-commerce and CMS site builds and maintenance.
You will need great communication skills, energy, drive, determination and a sense of humour.
Salary
Depends on experience. The right candidate will join Epicado at a time of phenomenal growth. We are working on many and varied projects and campaigns. Make a significant contribution to the business and there’s a possibility of building an equity stake.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have proven HTML and CSS knowledge and experience. You’ll understand PHP and how databases work. Experience in content management, blogging, forums, video streaming, e-commerce and search marketing would be an advantage.
If you can design websites and display demonstrable proficiency in Dreamweaver or similar, that would be an asset too.
You will be able to work unsupervised, have strong attention to detail and have good time and project management skills. A knowledge of search engines and how they index and rank websites would be helpful.
You must be experienced enough to assess potential projects and advise colleagues on the technical practicalities, costs and timing. You must also be willing to learn new technologies and processes.
Main Duties:
Develop e-commerce and content managed websites with minimal supervision as part of our team, including external designers and developers. Build solid working relationships with all members of the team.
Provide design and specification support to our sales team.
Help with client account management over the telephone, by email and face to face.
Develop a good working knowledge of our hosting service, deal with problems and recommend actions.
Undertake duties at all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to development, testing, implementation and documentation.
Provide information to management on the progress of development projects and the levels of service being sustained for live systems.
Assist in identifying and implementing processes and systems that will improve productivity.
Work with management to identify new services and products that create value for Epicado and its clients.
Contribute to research into emerging technologies and make recommendations on how they can/should be adopted by the Company.
