Did Google crash your website?

There have been reports from around the globe that Google had some serious tech problems yesterday resulting in many websites - particularly those with Google Analytics installed - becoming inaccessible.

According to the reports on, for example CNET there were problems with the search engine, GMail, Google Maps, Maps, Calendar, Adsense and YouTube.

Not great news if you’re losing traffic or your website won’t work. You’ve lost potential revenue and so has Google, but they can afford it.

This raises the question of whether we’re all becoming a bit too dependant on the G Force? (the G stands for Gone - Geddit?)

So far, Google hasn’t seen fit to acknowledge the problems on its blog.

So forgive us we indulge in a lttle schadenfreude at the mighty Google’s expense.
