Google provides its Analytics software completely free. Yes, really. So what’s the catch? Arguably, if you’re spending significant sums on Google Adwords, the company’s pay-per-click advertising system, you could be at a future disadvantage because Google will have a better understanding of the value of the keywords upon which you bid.
However, that aside, Google Analytics is a great tool and will enable you to understand the value of analytics before possibly investing in proprietary software.
